My girlfriend and I are avid film photographers. Unfortunately, the backing to one of my girlfriend’s cameras broke at the hinge. Since I have access to a large range of prototyping tools in the Invention Studio, I am attempting to repair her camera backing.

To get an accurate model of the camera backing, I first plan to scan the backing using a FARO Arm 3d Scanner. This will give me accurate point-data which can be converted to a mesh. I plan to then clean the mesh so that I can rebuild the model and 3d print it using the Form 2 resin printers in the Invention Studio.
